Individual therapy sessions are typically once a week for 45-50 minutes. I provide Individual therapy that is client centered, trauma informed and strength based. It is incredibly important to me that I build a trusting and secure therapeutic relationship with clients so that they can feel safe expressing their emotions, processing difficult past or current events, and get to a place where they can make meaningful changes in their lives. I use a variety of evidence based treatment approaches, specifically tailored to each individual client and their needs.
I use CBT and play therapy/art therapy techniques when working with clients ages 5-18 years old. My specialty when working with children and adolescents is anxiety. Anxiety often shows up in childhood; providing children with and understanding of how anxiety impacts them and helping them develop tools that works for them can help set them up for success as they continue to develop and grow.
I provide parent sessions, when appropriate.
Being first generation is a unique experience that can make life events more complicated and stressful. Particularly during early adulthood, when you are establishing your identity, making career choices, dating, marriage, etc. Your experience is valid and I strive to provide a space where you will feel heard, understood, and learn how to navigate living in between cultures in a way that honors your needs and boundaries.
